Attractions
Here are all the fun things you can discover at the zoo!

Down Under

30 minutes

Walk besides kangaroos in this wide open area! Ask the interpreters questions about these funny creatures, and feed them out of the palm of your hand. Be respectful of the kangaroos, as they are big animals with powerful legs.

Feed is an additional charge of $1, so if you have a big group of people wanting to feed them, you may want to buy a few bags for an incredibly good value.

Petting Zoo

30 minutes

Kangaroos are not the only animal you’ll find here! At the petting zoo, you’ll be introduced to a number of farm animals—most notably being the goats, horses, and sheep.

Just like the Down Under exhibit, you can buy feed for $1 a bag, so keep that in mind!

Land of Lorries

30 minutes

Have you ever held a bird before? Now is your chance! In the Land of Lorries, you will enter a giant birdcage filled with these Australian birds. You’ll immediately notice their multi-colored plumage. After receiving a small cup of feed, you’ll be able to have the birds climb all over you—their tiny talons feeling like small prickles on your arm.

Feed cups are $1—but this is a must-do activity!

Mammoth Onyx Cave Tour

30 minutes

Park City has a ton of caves, and this zoo is no exception! You’ll be able to feel the cool air that the underground holds hostage. It’s a great way to conclude or break up some of the above ground activities due to the heat. Discover geology and groundwater areas with your guide.

Animal Show

20 minutes

While you can see the animals in the zoo, sometimes it pays off to get a bit more information from the experts. Hold animals, ask questions, and gain further appreciation for some of the beasts here!

Sheep Herding Demonstration

20 minutes

Learn how sheep dogs are able to herd farm animals through live demonstrations! The owners of the pups will explain the natural instincts of the herding breeds, and show off their talents! They are an intelligent breed.

Gem Mining

20 minutes

For a cost of $11 - $14, you can have the chance to discover gemstones using a bag of sand and a water sluice. The cost comes from the materials. It’s a lot of fun, and can be an educational experience for kiddos and young families.
