Step into a Jurassic world where you’ll come face to face with life-size dino sculptures. The entrance to the park is deceiving, as it only looks like a small museum, but when you step through the gates you’ll walk through a lush forest area. Ideal for young families or people who love dinos.

Mammoth Cave Wildlife Museum

Animal lovers should head to the Mammoth Cave Wildlife Museum. Considered a taxidermy zoo, the wildlife museum has nearly a ton of statues (1600!) from all over the animal kingdom. There’s even a butterfly room where you can grab some beautiful pictures.


There’s a lot of merch and plushies in the gift shop for children or collectors to find here. It’s overall an incredibly affordable stop if you’re interested.


Jesse James Riding Stables and Outlaw Cave

Address: 3057 Mammoth Cave Rd, Cave City, KY

Horseback Riding Prices: $28 a person

Outlaw Cave Tour: $9 for adults (12+), $6 for Children (6-11)

Mini Golf: $6 a person


Formerly known as the Kentucky Action Park, the Jesse James Riding Stables is a great place to unwind and experience something new. Horse riding tours will consist of you walking down a two-mile path in the natural Kentucky beauty. Outlaw Cave will give you a different spin of natural beauty where you’ll see jaw-dropping columns of flowstone in the deep.


Raven’s Cross Haunted Village

Spook-seekers will see the ominous European-style village on the side of the road. If you choose to visit Raven’s Cross, you’ll be in for a thrilling experience. Big Mike’s Rock and Gift Shop

Visitors looking for all things that rock should visit Big Mike’s Rock & Gift Shop. Mike has everything from gems that will make your wife blush to pop rocks that will make your child’s mouth water. It makes for an excellent souvenir shopping experience.


On top of that, you can visit the Mystery House, which offers a transcendent, kooky afternoon of fun and whimsy. Highly interactive and great for the whole family.


Cave City Convention Center

Events that are broadcasted throughout town will often be held here. The Cave City Gun and Knife Shows are popular locations for tourists. People from all over the state visit the center for that alone. Take a look at the calendar to see if any events tickle your fancy.
