The Best Off Road and Jeep Trails in Kentucky

Offroading has become a favorite activity among our guests. While the national park offers a quiet day of trailwalking underground, offroading and riding Jeep Trails offers an experience almost completely the opposite.

Whether you need help planning the specifics of your private Jeep drive, or you forgot to bring your ATV and need a place to rent, this offroading guide should be able to send you in the right direction.

Kentucky Off Road Trails and Parks

There are two main offroad parks that give you 24-hour access to the forest surrounding Mammoth Cave National Park—Blue Holler and B&J. Both have different strengths and might warrant a visit for different reasons.

Blue Holler Offroad Park

Phone: 270-983-1183

Address: 1494 Ollie Rd, Mammoth Cave, KY

Perfect for riders of all ages and skill levels, Blue Holler will leave you squealing with delight as you cruise past trees, down hills, up rocks and more.

The coolest feature of the park is the large sand cave, referred to as the Navajo Cave, which adds a bit of subterranean flair to this extraordinary off road experience. You’ll be able to see some adorable waterfalls and broad views of the forest at a few lookout points. The only problem with this park is that it’s on the other side of Mammoth Cave, so you might need to drive a little further than if you were visiting B&J.

Cost

The ride around the park is $15 for anyone older than 10.

Rentals

If you haven’t brought your own ATV or UTV, don’t worry! Blue Holler offers their own vehicle rentals and will set you up for a fun day with little effort on your end. Give them a call for their rental rates.

B&J Offroad Park

Phone: 270-784-4026

Address: 3603 Barren River Road Bowling Green, KY

Do you own a and want to take it on some wider trails? The B&J Offroad Park is a privately owned and operated park. While it’s not as big as Blue Holler, it still has some great offerings and can make for a fun afternoon with your travel group. Jeeps, ATVs, and UTVs are welcome.

While closer to Park City, KY, than Blue Holler, it’s a smaller park, so it probably won’t keep you entertained for as long as the other one.

Cost

$10 a person or $50 for a year pass for locals.

Big Country Outdoor PowerSports

Phone: 270-781-3395

Address: 3108 Nashville Rd, Bowling Green, KY

Hours: 9AM - 5PM

While Blue Holler offers rentals, if you want to carve your own path through the woods on your own you’re going to need to rent a vehicle, and Big Country PowerSports has plenty of different rides allowing you to customize your experience to your comfort level. Check out this Bowling Green ATV Rental location.

Redneck Rave

Avid ATV enthusiasts cheer and shout everywhere that the Redneck Rave is in town! This annual event is hosted every year at Blue Holler Off Roading Park. You’ll be able to ride with your friends, race competitors, watch professionals do their thing, listen to music, and taste great food and drink.

If you’re interested, make sure you keep an eye on their website for ticket prices and dates for the event. You won’t want to miss it.
